Named Best Overseas Conference Centre by UK event organisers
Grimaldi Forum Monaco has once again been recognised by UK event organisers, winning Gold in the “Best Overseas Conference Centre” category at the 2026 M&IT Awards. The award was presented in London on Friday 18 September, marking the venue’s second consecutive Gold, following its success in 2025.
The achievement further strengthens Grimaldi Forum Monaco’s position among the leading international venues for conferences, congresses and business events. This year, the venue shared the top spot with PortAventura Convention Centre. Convention Centre Dublin took Silver, while Palau de Congressos de Catalunya received Bronze. The other finalists were CCIB – Barcelona International Convention Centre, Palma Congress Center and RAI Amsterdam.
A collective success for destination Monaco
The 2026 M&IT Awards ceremony also highlighted two other key players from the Principality. Visit Monaco Convention Bureau was recognised in the “Best Overseas Convention Bureau” category, while Fairmont Monte Carlo received the award for “Best Overseas Hotel”.
Together, these three accolades gave Monaco a strong presence at the ceremony and highlighted the complementary expertise of the destination’s key partners in delivering high-quality international congresses, conferences and events.
Recognition voted for by UK event professionals
The significance of the M&IT Awards lies in their voting process. In this category, only UK-based professional event organisers are eligible to vote, with the results independently audited by the Audit Bureau of Circulations.
This second consecutive Gold therefore reflects the confidence of the UK market in Grimaldi Forum Monaco’s service, the expertise of its teams and its ability to deliver complex and demanding international events.

21 M&IT Awards since 2003
With this latest accolade, Grimaldi Forum Monaco has now won 21 M&IT Awards since 2003, including 10 Gold, 9 Silver and 2 Bronze.
This consistent recognition over more than two decades reflects the venue’s longstanding presence in the strategically important UK business events market. The award follows a landmark 2025, which saw Grimaldi Forum Monaco celebrate its 25th anniversary and expand its facilities.
The latest trophy was brought back from London by Grimaldi Forum Monaco’s sales team and has now arrived in the Principality.
