Recognisable by its spectacular glass and steel design, the Grimaldi Forum Monaco (GFM) is the Monaco Government's Congress and Culture Centre.
Inaugurated in 2000, it's the expression of Prince Rainier III's desire to position Monaco as one of the main business tourism destinations in Europe and as a cultural highlight.
Offering an adaptable surface of 35,000 m² reclaimed from the sea, this unique site in an exceptional destination hosts an average of 100 events per year and 250,000 visitors for conferences, trade fairs and conventions, as well as exhibitions, shows, concerts and digital events.
The Best of Both Worlds
When it comes to business tourism, the Grimaldi Forum Monaco is one of the major international convention centres, with some twenty awards and distinctions to its name and, most importantly, very satisfied customers, of which 35% are recurring clients.
On a cultural level, the Grimaldi Forum has established itself as an institution in its own right thanks to the quality of its major summer exhibitions, with some of the largest museums in the world among its lenders, as well as its services when it comes to live performances, promoting a concept of excellent and eclectic programming that is accessible to all audiences.

The Monegasque Limited Company of the Grimaldi Forum is a private company owned by the State and governed by an Executive Board.
As a responsible entity, very early on the Grimaldi Forum Monaco placed humanity and the environment at the heart of its managerial priorities.
- Having participated in all stages of the creation of the company since the end of the 1990s, Executive Director Sylvie Biancheri relies on ten departments to lead a team of more than 140 people, with nearly forty lines of work and a casual staff that represents about 400 contracts (hostesses, ushers, technicians, etc.). The permanent team at the Grimaldi Forum Monaco is the lifeblood of the company, possessing an expertise and innovative ability that has built up its reputation. 55% of its employees have been in their positions for more than 10 years, and 25% of them for more than 20 years! They all share the same values: INTEGRITY, EXCELLENCE, CREATIVITY, RESPECT, COHESIVENESS and FLEXIBILITY.
- In line with the Principality's policy committed to Sustainable Development as desired by Prince Albert II of Monaco, the Grimaldi Forum also made the preservation of the environment and, more specifically, the reduction of the ecological impact of their own event activities, a top priority very early on. Notably, it was one of the first centres to receive ISO 14001 certification in 2008, and has been re-certified four times with the last time being at the end of 2020, as part of their ongoing environmental improvement process. In 2023 it will also receive ISO 20121 certification, a reference for sustainable development in the industry. More generally, topics related to the company's social and environmental responsibility are the subject of ongoing attention.
In immediate terms: just prior to the health crisis, 2019 was a record-breaking year for the Grimaldi Forum Monaco with 290,000 visitors, 120 events and only 10 days of vacancy during the year, with the GFM achieving the best turnover in its history after 5 years of constant growth. The Monaco Government Congress and Culture Centre is therefore, excluding the COVID period, a growing company whose results directly benefit the national economy, whether that is the hotel and catering sector, retail trade or services.
As for projects: in 2020, it acquired a 600 m² terrace for networking spaces or receptions that can accommodate up to 800 standing people, with a view of the Mediterranean (terrace connection). A complete range of hybrid events has also been developed. Finally, as a major development prospect, the GFM will increase its exhibition area by almost 50% at the beginning of 2025 as part of the Principality's offshore extension project. This unique opportunity will be a true asset to support the destination's allure on an international scale.
The Grimaldi Forum would like to thank its partners for their continued support.
THE GRIMALDI FORUM MONACO WILL TURN 25 IN 2025.
"The Grimaldi Forum holds a very special place in our hearts. We've had great aspirations for it, and it bears the name of our Family." HSH Prince Albert II of
Monaco. "There is indeed so much to say about this structure; what it is, first of all, what it offers, what it wants to become. The Grimaldi Forum is a technical testament to a structure that is 3/4 below sea level, and is there to take account of our changing times. For me, the Grimaldi Forum is like an astonishing vessel of modern times which, based on its programming, would go from show to exposition, from concert to opera, from ballet to conference, in search of new horizons and new knowledge. You don't need to be big in size to have big dreams, nor do you need a large number in order to reach those dreams. This is the value of the Monegasque example." H.S.H. Prince Rainier III, during the inauguration of the Grimaldi Forum Monaco in July 2000.
