The Grimaldi Forum Monaco, a positive 2023 report and record prospects!

10 janvier 2024

Over 500 clients and partners gathered yesterday at the Grimaldi Forum for its annual meeting to review the results and prospects of the Principality's international convention and cultural center.

Renewing the tradition of this event, the Director General of the GFM, Sylvie Biancheri, took stock of the evolution of the Center's activity in 2023, before discussing its numerous projects.

A strong recovery

2023 was a successful year with 115 events and exceptional attendance levels.

With 15,000 participants for AMWC, 25,000 visitors for Top Marques, 10,500 visitors for Luxe Pack and 11,300 business meetings for Les Assises, some of GFM's recurring customers even broke all their records. Another performance, the major summer exhibition Monet in full light welcomed 120,000 visitors in less than two months, a historic score.

At the end of 2023, the Grimaldi Forum confirmed a turnover representing 90% of that of 2019, its best year.

2024: exciting prospects

In addition to its regular customers, the Grimaldi Forum is attracting new customers this year, such as the Junk Kouture sustainable fashion competition (February), the Moretti Fine Arts auction, the Padel Best Expo sports event (April) and the SLB Digital Forum Convention (September). Events such as Ever Monaco (November) and the second edition of the Employment Forum (February) will also return in 2024. With a dense order book, the Grimaldi Forum already has a 2024 turnover exceeding its 2019 reference year! In addition, the center has just been nominated by the prestigious World Travel Awards in the "Europe's Leading Meetings & Conference Center 2024" category.Voting is open from Thursday, January 4th to February 4th, and anyone can vote! CMB Monaco x Grimaldi Forum, 19 years already...

This is a great achievement for the Grimaldi Forum Monaco and all its partners, first and foremost, of course, the Monegasque Government, but also CMB Monaco, which renewed its sponsorship agreement with the convention center for the 19th time on January 9th. This is a historic partnership between two entities that share the same values, and are innovating this year with a new joint project in the field of Corporate Social Responsibility, for the benefit of the Monaco Disease Power Association.

CSR, a priority

After obtaining its 6th ISO 14001 certification in 2023 and its very first ISO 20121 certification, the Grimaldi Forum is part of a framework of continuous improvement and is continuing its efforts on numerous environmental, societal and solidarity projects. Among its myriad actions, the implementation of a working day for each of its employees to the benefit of a collective action in the Principality, the eco-design of its exhibitions, the perpetuation of teleworking, or even the efforts against wasting food and insecurity.

2025, a big year for the Grimaldi Forum Monaco!

At the dawn of its 25 years in 2025, the Grimaldi Forum will receive its greatest birthday present, theextension of its building as part of the Mareterra project. More beautiful and functional than ever, it will have 50% more exhibition space, i.e. 6,000 m2 of additional indoor space, to which 2,000 m2 of outdoor space will be added, not to mention a complete repainting of its facades, a timely metamorphosis in a particularly competitive event sector that is hungry for novelty.
