MONACO AND THE AUTOMOBILE - FROM 1893 TO THE PRESENT DAY
From July 11 to September 6, 2020

The Covid-19 health crisis and its multiple consequences made organising this event impossible in 2020.

Between its rich economic and social life, ideal geographical positioning and exceptional sporting past, the Principality of Monaco has been forging close ties with the automobile since the end of the 19th century.

More than fifty unique vehicles, with pedigree (chassis number, charts, etc.) authenticated by the teams at the general commission, testify to the richness of the Principality's automotive history.

In addition to these exceptional vehicles, visitors would have been able to admire vintage objects, rare documents and unpublished photographs and videos with connections to the princely family, Monegasque drivers and the two legendary Monaco Grand Prix and Monte Carlo Motor Rally races.

The event was supported by the Princely Palace, the Automobile Club de Monaco and the Automobile Club de France, which had joined forces with the general commission and the Grimaldi Forum to gather all these heritage pieces meant to be on display to visitors for nearly two months.

We hope to be able to organise this exhibition, of which we were very proud, in the coming years!
