THE MONTE-CARLO BALLETS
Fri. 31st December 2010 - Mon. 3rd January 2011
“Once upon a time a king and a queen who were so upset to have no child…”
The fairy Lilas is swaggering around with Christmas balls and other types of hand-sewed balls, while the Beauty plays of her curves, a bit alike the dance of the Monte-Carlo Ballets seducing the eye as a caress.
Created in 2001 in Monaco, The Beauty of Jean-Christophe Maillot has since made a world tour: a very original second-reading of a tale of remarkable musicality, a story of good and evil, hate and love which ends by the longest kiss in the history of dance !
