After china and crystal, the Grimaldi Forum dedicates its exhibition "Place des Arts" to Christofle.
Christofle leading expert in the upscale tableware is today a contemporary luxury brand whose territory of expression is silver. Combining know-how elite and the most current trends, his creations unfold in the universe of the table, home and jewellery.
Founded in 1830, Christofle hasn’t ceased to improve and invent new technologies to sublimate millenary silverware.
This exhibition offers a wide variety of Christofle through three main themes: the living world, abstraction and craft of the goldsmith.
Tableware, cutlery and decorative objects, each piece requires specific technique of shaping and decoration. Each of these techniques has its skill and tools still largely handmade.
Creativity, quality, elegance, know how: four words that personify Christofle as a symbol of the French “Art de vivre”.
