The Monaco Dance Forum has invited the Ballet du Grand Théâtre de Genève to perform on the Grimaldi Forum's stage in April 2014. Two choreographies will make up this powerful show in which music and dance entwine their roots. Ken Ossola'sLux sculpts shadows to enhance the delicacy of bodies swathed in Faure's music, while in Andonis Foniadakis's Glory the dancers weave together in a tense, flowing symbiosis that gives movement a special quality and mastery.

The Monaco Dance Forum's next guest is Jirí Kylián, who will be giving his East Shadow its European première for us. This work commissioned for the 2013 Aichi Triennial in Japan (on the theme of the 2011 Fukushima disaster) immerses its audience in the disorientating world of Samuel Beckett. When the master of the absurd is revisited by one of our greatest choreographers, the result leaves no one indifferent.
