LA COMPAGNIE DES BALLETS DE MONTE-CARLO

As part of the Ballets de Monte-Carlo’s 30^th anniversary, the dancers bring us an exceptional evening spent with the choreographer who has become “an intimate friend of the Company” over the years. The inspiring Jiri Kylian is back in Monaco to rehearse with these artists he so loves, for an “anniversary line-up” set to be spectacular, in which the many facets of the choreographer shall be revealed. Bella Figura, one of his best-known pieces, is a journey into a sensual, powerful aesthetic universe, while Gods and Dogs bears testimony to the choreographer’s sharpness in tackling the topic of the individual’s role in society. With Chapeau, created in honour of Her Majesty Queen Beatrix’s silver jubilee, Jiri Kylian reveals his taste for surprise – and this evening should be full of them!
