ITALIAN STYLE EXHIBITION

On the occasion of the 150th Anniversary of the Italian Unity, the Italian Embassy in Monaco is organizing an important art and design exhibition that suggests a new approach of the “Italian Style” in all the sectors: housing environment, traveling, working, the industry and technology, fashion, cinema, architecture, communication, life style, table, light, color, photography and advertisement.

This event is here to value all the aspects of the Italian creativity, including its largest cultural wealth. The exhibition, through a multimedia course made of paintings, advertising posters and cinema, design objects and studies, photos, sculptures, is willing to highlight how the “made in Italy” creative style contributed in changing a lifestyle’s trends and tastes on the world scale and over the last 150 years.

The exhibition gathers the masterpieces of Boccioni, Depero, the sculptures of Thayaht, Giovanni Romagnoli, Tedeschi, Ettore Colla, the paintings of Sironi, Previati, Afro, Nomellini, Licini, the photos of Carlo Mollino, Arturo Ghergo, Berengo Gardin, the advertising posters designed by Enrico Prampolini, Lucio Fontana, Armando Testa, Marcello Dudovich, Arvati, the photographic setups of Bruno Munari, the ceramics of Giò Ponti, the precious drawings of Sant’Elia, newspapers, magazines and the exchanges of a great historic value, the collection of futurist books, the EUR 42 archives with the expressive projects of plays of light and water imagined by great rationalist architects for the Universal Exhibition of Roma.

Thenone of the exposition’s section will tell about the big enterprises and the big characters that played a major role in making Italy known around the world.
