In November, to celebrate its National Day, the Principality of Monaco is going to welcome the Opera of the famous Russian musician Piotr Ilitch Tchaïkovski, Eugène Onéguine.
The Grimaldi Forum has been chosen to receive this musical performance, fabulous mix of dramatic music and poetic texts with intoxicating lyric tones.
The last representation of this masterpiece in the Opera of Monte Carlo was in 1994. This Eugène Onéguine's character so charismatic and symbolic is going to renew a story in three acts and seven boards, focused on the regret of a too selfish love.
Loving feelings and bloodthirsty duel are integral part of this Opera of international fame. It is within the framework of the National Day Gala that the Grimaldi Forum is proud to receive this jewel of the Russian culture for the biggest pleasure of the Monegasque population.
This Opera will be directed by Claire Servais ans starred by Svetlana Lifar, Ekaterina Chtcherbatchenko, Ekaterina Sergueïeva, Barbara Bornemann, Teodor Ilincai, Alexeï Markov, Viaceslav Voïnarovski et Grigori Soloviov.
Performances on the November 21st at 3 pm and on the November 23rd at 8 pm.
