Baptiste Lecaplain began his career as a children's entertainer in Levallois-Perret.
In September 2006, he decided to quit his job as a host to get into comedy. A little over a year later, his first show entitled Baptiste hits the poster, is largely autobiographical and directed by Aslem Smida.
His one-man show is unanimously acclaimed and the self-taught comedian played a series of sold-out dates for 18 months. He also filled the Bataclan in Paris nine times in February 2012 before continuing on a national tour. It is in one of his performances that Kyan Khojandi spots him and offers him a role in the series Bref, shown on Canal+ in 2011 where he plays Baptiste, the disturbed and endearing roommate.
In 2012, he begins his career in cinema by joining the team of Geraldine Nakache and Hervé Mimran for the comedy-drama Nous York.
In January 2013, he began La Tournée du Trio with Jérémy Ferrari and Arnaud Tsamere. All three play in the Zenith theaters in France until February 2013.
Baptiste will also be part of Laurent Ruquier's new team in Les Grosses Têtes on RTL.
His second show Origines was a triumph at the Théâtre du Petit Montparnasse, at the Trianon, as well as on tour and ended with 5 exceptional dates at L'Olympia in 2017.
In this third show, Baptiste Lecaplain talks about his life, his daughters and his role as a father, the relationship with his wife, living as a couple, and also Disney cartoons, Ikea and his passion for Dyson vacuum cleaners.
