According to a now well established tradition, the Grimaldi Forum Monaco's Salle des Princes is preparing to welcome a new Russian Gala on Saturday September 13^th at 8:00 p.m.  

The Eifman Ballet Company of Saint Petersburg will put on a unique representation of choreographer Boris Eifman's ballet, "Anna Karenina", based on the book by Leo Tolstoy, music by Pyotr Tchaikovsky, created on March 31^st 2005.

This classic ballet is a true explosion of emotional energy that carries the audience away in this story where the choreographer concentrated on the "Anna - Karenin - Vronsky" love triangle from Tolstoy's book.
Using the language of dance, Boris Eifman succeeds in depicting the drama of a renascent woman. According to the choreographer, it is passionate love, "the most basic of instincts", that leads the heroine to violate the late XIX^th century Russian social morality norms, killing her maternal love and, in this way, destroying her inner world. She is completely lost in her all-consuming love for Vronsky; this woman is prepared to make any sacrifice.
