Asaf Avidan’s androgynous voice leaves no one indifferent and forged his aura as a pop music phenomenon.

And yet, Avidan the prodigy was already 26 years old when he touched a guitar for the first time. It was a heartbreak that inspired him to write his first songs in his native city of Jerusalem, where he quickly made himself noticed. He gathered around him a team of local musicians. Since then, the group has been recording music and performing under the name of Asaf Avidan and The Mojos. Together, they created 3 highly successful albums and made a real name for themselves among the greatest performers in Europe. True to his needs as much as to his artistic vision, Asaf decided to pursue his solor career and created Different Pulses, a deeply introspective album. At the time of its release, a strange phenomenon took place. A remix of one of his old songs, “Reckoning Song\One Day” and directed by a fan of the singer, began to “make waves” across Europe. Despite the protests of Avidan himself, who did not much like the remix, this wave turned into a veritable tsunami which engulfed the planet, transforming the song in international hit, at the top of the charts in 14 countries and selling more than 1.5 million copies. In life, everything is a question of timing… In this way, the success of the new album and of the remix fed off one another, propelling Avidan’s career to new heights.
