Double hit for the Grimaldi Forum in the UK!
Here it is: the Grimaldi Forum Monaco's eighth M&IT Award in the last nine years! Yes, the pride and joy of Monaco was yet again named Best Overseas Congress Centre at the annual awards ceremony organised by specialist magazine Meeting & Incentive Travel.
On Monday 28 February 2011 at the Park Plaza Westminster Bridge, the UK's MICE professionals once again rewarded the Principality's congress centre for its professionalism, quality of services and facilities, plus excellent value for money, by giving it top marks over its biggest rivals for the award, the Copenhagen, Dublin and Las Vegas congress centres.
Monaco a major player on the international business tourism scene
It wasn't just the Grimaldi Forum that was again spotlighted in the UK but a destination as a whole, one whose assets are amply recognised by the business tourism sector. At that same ceremony, the Monaco Convention Bureau received the award for Best Overseas Convention Bureau and the Fairmont Monte-Carlo the Best Overseas Hotel award.
This hat trick speaks volumes about Destination Monaco's potential among top MICE offerings and is tremendously encouraging for all the Principality's players, particularly when you know how notoriously demanding those British professionals are!

One week previously at the fourth COOL Venues Awards ceremony organised by the British magazine Prestige Events, on Monday 21 February again in London, the Grimaldi Forum Monaco also won the award for COOLest Overseas Venue. When the jury of 17 event professionals and journalists announced its 2010 'barometer' after a year analysing all the trends in the event organisation industry, it named the Grimaldi Forum Monaco as the must place for holding an event.
So after being singled out a number of times for the quality of its facilities and the dedication of its staff, the Grimaldi Forum Monaco has now also proved its emotive impact by beating 11 other prestigious international venues. A fine reward for the Principality's Congress Centre that strives to give each of the events it hosts a new dimension by creating a personal identity for it.
