MONTE-CARLO PHILHARMONIC ORCHESTRA
Sun. 27th September 2015 6:00pm
The Philharmonic Orchestra is to play a very special multimedia concert of Respighi's Roman Trilogy conducted by Kazuki Yamada, a production in which music and imagery complement each other, throwing the vibrancy of the images, light and shadow, the notes of the music into stunning relief.
Respighi's exuberant, colourful music is especially well suited to this type of experimentation by the legendary La Fura dels Baus performance troupe. Globally esteemed for its artistic creativity, the Catalan art collective pursues a vocation of ceaseless innovation, giving fresh meaning to the "show" concept with every new creation.
Portraying wide open spaces with tremendous feeling and depth, La Fura's video-art interpretation of this music incites transcendent significances in its audiences through a vitally alive art.
