The Virtuoso's Memorable Concert
On a world tour, the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra stopped last night in Monaco for a unique and exceptional rendez-vous. In front of 1200 spectators, the conductor Zubin MEHTA and the pianist Daniel BARENBOIM enchanted the "salle des Princes" of the Grimaldi Forum for more than 2 hours. They began with Stravonsky's three movements symphony, followed with Beethoven's C Minor piano cpncerto and then finished with Strauss'symphonic poem of "Don Quichotte". The concert wa a real success.
Before this magical musical encounter, the Maestri enthusiastically took time to answer the journalist's questions, delighted to produce themselves at the Grimaldi Forum.
