Opera : the Boito's Mefistofele to open 2011-2012 season
Thursday, April 21th, Jean-Louis Grinda has unvealed the 2011-2012 season of the Monte Carlo Opera that he heads. As tradition dictates, it will open in triumph in November, for the National Day of Monaco. And the master Italian musician Boito's "Mefistofele" by Goethe, which will be played in the Salle des Princes.
Conducted by Gianluigi Gelmetti, the director Jean-Louis Grinda himself, says "it is a fairly contemporary, but which nevertheless retains the full dimension of the Faust's myth"
